The Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo opened in 2024 as the sixth facility operated by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government with the mission of contributing to the creation of a new culture from the perspective of mutual understanding and coexistence through art since the modern era. With a collection of approximately 2,500 works, the museum holds exhibitions on a wide range of contemporary art, including painting, sculpture, fashion, architecture, and design, including collection exhibitions that provide a perspective on the flow of art since the modern era and distinctive special exhibitions, such as large-scale international exhibitions.
